![]() The rest of the dex is no slouch, yeah everyone is slow as shit (whhhy) and it's a bit too heavy of legendaries and beasts over more standard mons, but even those legends feel surprisingly fresh with both the advent of the ultra beasts completely esoteric designs and even the Tapus linking strongly into the regions theme. Yes yes, one's an Owl and that's like the win buttin for me, but beyond that we got a Pro wrestling big cat, a starter breaking from more common conventions by being both feminine and not bipedal, and every one of them has a cool typing combo. I can safely say that they've got me favourite trio of starters in the series. ![]() Sun and Moon were so good at embodying their setting, perhaps too strong in places (everyone stop doing that thing with your hands!), it makes the two slices of europe on either side (and Unova while I'm at it) seem like only vaguely foreign skins on top of the usual pokemon world seen in the first 4 gens. ![]()
